Planning a Beauty Editorial

Today, we’re going to talk about planning a Beauty Editorial photoshoot!

So HOW do you PLAN a Beauty Editorial Photoshoot?

First and foremost you must do trend analysis and research the ongoing beauty trends for upcoming or current beauty editorials. The places to look at are Pinterest, Vogue magazine, or if the Magazine that you are submitting to has a mood board already posted as an inspiration.

From there, you can base your editorial on taking bits and pieces you like and putting them together.

You can use programs such as Canva (available on desktop and mobile devices), Photoshop, or Adobe InDesign to plan your editorial.

From there, you can now share your mood board with your makeup artist and hair stylist!

Once you have your hair and makeup artist, you now also will be submitting that mood board to your model agency of choice.

This is the first step in planning your Beauty Editorial
